Givex Goes Green

Givex has changed the way we operate to be more environmentally responsible, an ideal we share with our suppliers and partners. We are proud to offer our customers more environmentally friendly product options, such as cards containing recycled material and PLA (corn-based plastic) cards instead of traditional PVC. Greener card products help our clients with their environmental initiatives and contribute to positive change in manufacturing. We listen to our clients to develop our eco-friendly product list.

We are even developing a new service for clients to shred and recycle deactivated cards. Givex continuously rethinks how we operate and looks for ways we can do better for the environment.

Givex Reforestation Program

At Givex, we have a responsibility to our clients, our employees and our community to create positive environmental change.

To reduce our carbon footprint, Givex has partnered with Tree Canada and planted 2,500 trees that will annually offset 17,845 kg of the carbon dioxide emissions produced through the production of gift cards.

The Tree Canada Foundation is a not-for-profit, charitable organization established in 1992. Under the direction of a 13-member volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation provides education, technical assistance, resources and financial support through working partnerships to encourage Canadians to plant and care for trees in an effort to help reduce the harmful effects of carbon dioxide emissions. The foundation is a leader in promoting the value of urban forests in Canada.
